Are there equal numbers of men
and women?
We take a lot of time and effort to check and re-check that we
have as even numbers as possible at our Reading Speed Dating Events. If you cannot make it to the event, PLEASE, PLEASE
let us know as soon as possible. Just think how much you wouldn't like it if you attended a speed date
session and other people didn't bother to turn up....
How many people will I meet?
While we aim for a minimum of 16 people per event, the vast majority of our events usually consist
of 12-20 guys and 12-20 girls.
What time does the event start and finish?
Our events usually start around 7 for 7:30 and finish up approx at 10:30.
What happens after I register my details?
We sent out ocasional invitations via email letting you know of appropriate upcoming events.
We have events for various ages.
I am keen on attending an event but nervous about going by myself...
This would have to be the most common concern, especially with the girls. Yes it can be a bit stressful
thinking about meeting so many new people in one night. Years ago I attended a speed date overseas and was quite nervous so I know exactly how you
feel. The worst thing is actually thinking about it, but once you arrive at the venue and realise from meeting everyone, just how "normal" all the other
speed daters are, the nerves quickly settle. As soon as the speed dating begins all the fears and worry
quickly disappear and 10:30 comes around a lot quicker than you had expected. You will wonder why you were
ever worried in the first place!
What sort of people will I meet?
Sociable, attractive, normal people just like me and you. Most of our participants are busy professional
people who value their spare time and can see all the benefits speed dating has to offer.
Doctors, teachers, lawyers, nurses and IT workers tend to be our most common professions.
How long will it take before I get my matches?
You will receive your matches within 48 hours of the event finishing.
What shall I wear?
There is no dress code at our Reading Speed Dating Events, although first impressions do count, so dress to impress! There will be more
than a few guests who come straight from work in a suit, so no need to worry at all if you are not able to change.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept card payments from all the major credit and debit cards, as well as paypal. Our card payments go through Protx and are 100% secure. All payments must be made before the event, please
do not expect to simple pay on the night.
